Wow, it’s been a while! I lost motivation and the reason why I write these blogs. But I’ve realized that I don’t do this for other people—I do it for myself. Writing at the end of the day and reflecting helps me see that I’m working hard toward my goals and doing what I love. It’s a way for me to track my progress, push myself to the limit, and become the best version of myself.
Today was a great day! Over the past few days, I lost sight of my "why" and started spiraling into a dark place where I wasn’t convinced I could achieve my dreams. I focused only on the problems and felt like everything was impossible. My fear-driven brain kept bombarding me with doubts. But I worked on my mindset—reminding myself what I want to achieve and why. Listening to motivational speakers and convincing myself that my dreams have already happened in my mind helped me believe in them again. I do this for myself, and I know I can achieve this. I push myself to work harder and harder, and I love it.
I also remembered something I learned a while ago: when negative, unhelpful thoughts appear, I simply tell my brain, "Thank you, but these thoughts aren’t helping me." I choose not to listen to fear but instead focus on my dreams and beliefs. This mindset shift truly helps!
Today was full of exciting moments:
🎤 I had a great conversation with a photographer, and we came up with some amazing ideas for a shoot for my upcoming song! It’s going to be incredible.
🏳️🌈 I may have found someone to do the support act for my queer show at EKKO! We had a great call, and I’m seriously considering booking him.
🎟 I finalized the ticketing with the venue! I signed the contracts, and the ticket link should be live any day now. I also consulted a businessman on pricing and ticket options, and we landed on something great, which the venue approved.
🎬 I started reaching out to venues for my music video shoot! A few weeks ago, a film student I previously worked with contacted me, saying she was interested in directing a music video for my song Housewife. We brainstormed ideas over a call, and now I’m on the hunt for the perfect location.
📖 I bought an amazing book at the airport about hyperfocus. My plan is to read about mindset and personal growth before bed and focus on my craft during the day.
🖼 I put up photos of crowds in my practice space to get used to the feeling of performing in front of an audience. Visualization is powerful!
🎧 I also dived back into podcasts about neuromarketing—super interesting stuff!
Overall, it’s been a fantastic day. I love doing things that challenge me. I love working hard, building my career, and stepping into my role as a businessman.
